Next step, cashews. I suppose you could use other nuts in your fruitcake, but why would you, when you can use cashews? 
Using Whatever Fruit I Have
Some people have very precise recipes for what dried fruit they’re going to put in their rich cake. Me, it’s just 2 1/2 lbs. of whatever dried fruit I have around. This year, we have: papaya, fig, sultanas, cranberries, goji berries, pear. Fun.

The Ombré Effect
Kavi was pleased by the ombré effect.
Silver and Gold Gilded Dragons
Mix of silver and gold gilding on the dragons. No icing, because it’d obscure the textures. So kids and those with a sweet tooth might prefer the iced ones. These are nice with a cup of tea, though!
Will Taste Good, Though
I think my shaky hand is most evident on the pumpkins. Will still taste good, though.
Autumn Is Magic
Added a little edible gold dust, because autumn is magic.
I actually can’t figure out if I like them better with or without the gold dust. Both are good.
